Siirt
1984
August 15, 1984- An armed and bomb attack was launched by PKK members on the Gendarmerie Station located in the Eruh district of Siirt. A gendarmerie private died in the attack while 9 people including 3 civilians died.
November 8, 1984- Karagecit Village- A group of PKK members launched bomb attacks on two houses in the Eruh district of Siirt. 5 women and 4 children were killed.
December 15, 1984- Three citizens lost their lives in the attack carried out in the Sigirli hamlet/ Erkent Village of Pervani district/ Siirt.
August 19-20, 1987- 23 people were killed and one was injured in the armed attack in the Kilickaya village of Eruh. This attack is also known as the Milan Hamlet Massacre.
March 29, 1988- 9 shepherds were strangled to death by PKK members at the Yagizoymak village of Eruh.
June 15, 1993- PKK raided the Ucpinar village of Ilicalar town in Bingol and the Gozluce village of Sirvan/ Siirt with rocket launchers. 9 people were dead and 4 were abducted in the armed attack. A health officer was shot dead the same day on Siirt- Eruh highway.
October 4, 1993- 33 people were killed and 10 were injured in the armed attack launched by PKK militants in the Deltepe village of Sirvan/ Siirt.
October 5, 1993- PKK militants launched armed attacks in the various villages and hamlets of Hakkari, Siirt and Batman and set 22 houses on fire. 35 people including women and children were killed while 10 were injured and 22 houses were burnt down.
October 21, 1993- PKK militants raided Derince village. 24 people were killed and 7 were wounded in the armed attack.
August 18, 2011- PKK members attacked the District Gendarmerie Headquarters and the Security Directorate in Pervari/ Siirt with long-barreled guns and rocket launchers.
September 20, 2011- A group of PKK militants in Siirt attacked a private car located near the Police Vocational College with rocket launchers and long-barreled guns mistaking it for a police vehicle. Four women inside the car were killed while two were severely injured in the attack.
September 24, 2011- PKK attacked the Belenoluk Gendarmerie Post in the Pervari district of Siirt with rocket launchers and long-barreled guns. Six soldiers lost their lives and eleven were wounded in the armed conflict.
August 2, 2012- A crowded group of PKK members attacked the gendarmerie post and the base area located in the rural areas of Eruh/ Siirt with heavy weapons. Two soldiers lost their lives and seven were wounded in the attack.
June 19, 2018 - A soldier died and another two were wounded in an IED explosion in Siirt.
Mardin
1985
August 23, 1985- Kismetli Village- A PKK massacre committed in the Kismetli Village of Dargecit District/ Mardin. 3 civilians lost their lives.
January 23, 1987- The organization killed 10 people in a raid in Midyat.
March 7, 1987- PKK killed 8 people including 6 children in the Acikyol village of Nusaybin district/ Mardin.
June 20, 1987- PKK committed the Pinarcik village massacre. 30 people including 6 women and 16 children were killed in the attack in the Omerli district of Mardin. In a statement in the aftermath of the attack PKK leader Ocalan said, “Let us kill, let us be the authority”.
July 9, 1987- PKK militants massacred 31 people including 16 children at the Midyat district of Mardin.
May 9, 1988- 11 people including 8 children and 2 women were killed in the PKK raid at the Taskoy Balminin hamlet of Nusaybin/ Mardin. Three people taken as hostages by the perpetrators of the attack, in which 2 children were heavily wounded, were found dead.
December 12, 1989- 6 people were dead and a baby and 3 others were heavily wounded in the fire opened on a minibus carrying passengers to the Cevizlik village of Mardin central.
July 22, 1991- 19 people were dead and 5 were wounded in the PKK attacks on civilian cars in the Midyat district of Mardin.
November 15, 1992- 8 people were killed and 13 wounded in the raids in the Balpinar village of Mazidagi/ Mardin and the Ortaalican village of Igdir.
December 7, 1992- PKK members ambushed a minibus in Mardin. 4 people were killed and 13 were wounded in the armed attack.
October 4, 1993- 26 people were killed and 4 were injured when the passenger minibus crashed into the mine laid by PKK militants in a village road in the Midyat district of Mardin.
January 21, 1994- 16 people were killed and 4 were injured in the armed attack in the Ormancik village of Mardin.
December 15, 1997- A minibus travelling from the Yoncali village of the Dargecit district in Mardin towards the district center, hit a mine laid on the road by the PKK in the Konakli Hamlet of Temelli village. 12 people were killed and 12 were injured in the incident.
November 27, 2012- PKK terrorists attacked the Gendarmerie Post in the Unsali Village of Omerli/ Mardin with long-barreled guns. 1 soldier died.
September 15, 2015- A patrolling police vehicle was attacked with a remote-controlled bomb in the Ucyol area of Nusaybin/ Mardin. 3 police officers died and one was wounded.
June 8, 2016- PKK terrorists launched an attack with a bomb-laden vehicle on the district police department in Midyat/ Mardin. 7 people, including the perpetrator and three police officers died and 51 people were injured in the attack.
June 29, 2016- A remote-controlled enhanced explosive device laid on the road by the PKK in Mardin was detonated. 2 soldiers of the Turkish Army died and 3 soldiers were wounded.
August 10, 2016- 7 civilians lost their lives and 32 were wounded in the attack conducted just in front of Mardin Kiziltepe State Hospital.
October 4, 2018 - 14 soldiers died and another 4 wounded in the roadside IED attack on a military vehicle travelling from Mardin to Dargecit.
September 4, 2019 - A soldier died and two soldiers were wounded in the explosion of a previously-laid IED in Mardin.
Hakkari
1984
August 17, 1984- An officer, a noncommissioned officer and a private were wounded in the armed attack mounted by PKK members in Semdinli on the public housing for officers, district gendarmerie post and the gendarmerie outdoor military mess for officers.
January 22, 1987- PKK killed 8 villagers with bombs planted in a heating stove in the Ortabag Village of Hakkari.
May 2, 1988- PKK killed 6 citizens of the Ortabag village of Uludere/ Sirnak.
November 26, 1989- 28 people were killed and two were injured in the armed attack on the civilians in Asagimolla Yasin Neighborhood of the Ikiyaka village in Yuksekova/ Hakkari. It was reported that, having taken 9 shepherds and 700 sheep with them, PKK members fled to a neighboring country after the attack.
October 25, 1991- 3 gendarmerie stations in the vicinity of the Cukurca district of Hakkari were attacked by PKK militants. 17 soldiers died in the attacks.
September 29, 1992- PKK attacked the gendarmerie battalion in Semdinli/ Hakkari. 2 noncommissioned officers, 23 soldiers and 5 village guards lost their lives.
June 4, 1993- PKK members raided villages in Hakkari and Bingol. 7 people were killed and 3 women were abducted.
October 5, 1993- PKK militants launched armed attacks in the various villages and hamlets of Hakkari, Siirt and Batman and set 22 houses on fire. 35 people including women and children were killed while 10 were injured and 22 houses were burnt down.
November 8, 1996- PKK militants launched a rocket attack on a minibus at Koprulu village of the Cukurca district of Hakkari. 17 people including 12 village guards were killed and 8 people were wounded in the incident.
August 5, 2005- 3 specialist sergeants and 2 privates were killed in the PKK bomb attack on the Semdinli District Gendarmerie Command. A private was injured in the incident.
May 3, 2006- 21 people were injured in the PKK bomb attack in Hakkari on a shuttle vehicle carrying the children of soldiers. Among those injured were 8 soldiers, 11 students and 2 women.
October 21, 2007- Daglica attack: A group of 150 PKK members arriving from northern Iraq with heavy weapons in their possession attacked the Commando Battalion located 4 kms away from the border in the Daglica village of Yukekova/ Hakkari. 12 Turkish soldiers were killed and 16 were wounded in the armed attack.
April 22, 2008- 4 soldiers lost their lives and 7 were injured in the explosion of three mines laid by PKK members in Hakkari.
May 9, 2008- 6 soldiers lost their lives in the attack launched by the PKK on a gendarmerie post in Hakkari.
October 3, 2008- Aktutun Attack: 350 PKK militants opened fire on the Aktutun police station from northern Iraq. 15 Turkish soldiers were killed and 20 were wounded, including two with severe injuries.
May 28, 2009- 6 soldiers died and 8 were wounded in the mine explosion in the Hantepe vicinity of Cukurca/ Hakkari. The mines were laid by PKK militants.
June 19, 2010- 11 soldiers lost their lives in the attack in the Upper Gediktepe Region of Semdinli/ Hakkari.
September 16, 2010- A minibus in the Gecitli village of Hakkari central hit a mine laid by the PKK. 9 people including a child lost their lives in the attack.
August 17, 2011- A military convoy was attacked in the 12th km. of the Hakkari- Cukurca highway with an IED (Improvised Explosive Device). BTR-80 type armored personnel carrier was destroyed as the mines exploded four times and 11 soldiers and a village guard lost their lives and 14 soldiers were injured in the incident.
August 28, 2011- A mine exploded as a military vehicle passed by in the Semdinli district of Hakkari. Three soldiers lost their lives and three others were wounded in the attack.
September 4, 2011- Militants attacked the village police station in the Yuksekova district of Hakkari. Two village guards lost their lives and four were wounded in the attack.
September 11, 2011- PKK members attacked soldiers and police officers in a wedding in Semdinli/ Hakkari. 2 security officers and three civilians lost their lives and ten people including seven soldiers died in the attack.
October 19, 2018- Eight attacks were launched in different places in Cukurca/ Hakkari by the PKK. 24 soldiers lost their lives and 18 were wounded in the attacks.
May 19, 2012- PKK members attacked a police station construction site in Hakkari and caused the death of a worker and wounded three.
June 19, 2012- PKK militants attacked the Daglica Police Station in Yuksekova/ Hakkari. Eight soldiers lost their lives and 16 were injured in the attack.
June 21, 2012- A child lost his life and another was killed in the mine explosion in the 49th boundary stone region of Cukurca/ Hakkari at 18.15 hrs.
August 4, 2012- PKK launched a simultaneous attack on the Gecimli Gendarmerie Post and Karatas Police Station, located on the Hakkari- Cukurca highway, and the military base on the Darsinki Hills. Two village guards and six soldiers lost their lives in Gecimli. 14 PKK members were killed in the armed conflict.
August 22, 2012- A bomb attack was launched in the Baglar area of Semdinli/ Hakkari as a military convoy was passing by. Five soldiers lost their lives and seven were wounded in the attack.
September 15, 2012- An explosive planted by PKK members in the Hakkari- Cukurca highway exploded as a military vehicle was passing by. 4 soldiers died and 5 were wounded in the explosion.
October 26, 2014- 3 soldiers attacked by PKK militants as they were shopping for electrical equipment in a shop in Yuksekova/ Hakkari were killed.
September 15, 2015- A bomb laid on the Hakkari- Van highway was detonated as a police vehicle passed by. 3 police officers and a prisoner lost their lives.
September 21-22, 2015- Two different attacks were launched with two different IEDs by PKK members on the Baskale/ Van- Hakkari highway. A total of twenty four soldiers were injured in the attacks.
July 27, 2015- Specialist sergeant Ziya Sarpkaya, wearing civilian clothes, was shot in the head in front of a bank in Semdinli/ Hakkari.
September 30, 2015- 39 year old Gendarmerie Specialist Sergeant Izzet Alper lost his life in an attack launched by PKK militants in Semdinli/ Hakkari.
July 6, 2016- A village guard returning from the religious holiday with his family was abducted in the Armutduzu village of Yuksekova/ Hakkari. He was later found dead on the Hakkari-Van highway near Akcali village.
July 29, 2016- PKK members attacked the soldiers, wo were conducting road checks in the Doganli area on Hakkari- Cukurca highway. 8 soldiers were wounded 6 were wounded in the attack.
February 1, 2018 - A soldier was killed in the missile attack to a base camp in Hakkari and eight soldiers were wounded.
February 3, 2018 - Two soldiers were killed in a rocket/missile attack on Mehmet Yaylaci Police Station in Kilis.
April 6, 2018 - Two soldiers died during IED disposal and one soldier was wounded in Cukurca.
May 24, 2018 - Two village guards died and another three were wounded in the IED explosion during the transfer of village guards in Hakkari.
June 2, 2018 - Two soldiers were martyred and another wounded in the rocket attacks targeting a temporary base in Semdinli.
June 4, 2018 - Three soldiers were killed and another five were wounded in a guided missile attack targeting soldiers responsible for securing road construction work in Semdinli.
June 20, 2018 - Two soldiers died and another was wounded in the rocket attack targeting an IED sweeping in Hakkari.
July 31, 2018 - N. K. and his son B. M. K., who were visiting a soldier’s wife in Hakkari, lost their lives in a roadside IED explosion while returning to their home in Yuksekova the same day after their visit.
August 3, 2018 - An IED was detonated while a convoy of three vehicles carrying law enforcement officers were passing by. A police was killed and ten policemen were wounded. (Hakkari)
August 9, 2018 - A soldier died and four soldiers were wounded in the mortar attack on a base in Hakkari.
October 9, 2018 - A civilian and a soldier died and two civilians were wounded in a missile attack in Hakkari.
June 28, 2019 - A soldier died in the armed attack on a base in Hakkari.
September 8, 2019 - One soldier stepped on an IED during reconnaissance activity in Hakkari. He died and another soldier was wounded.
Sirnak
1985
January 7, 1985- Tekcinar Village- This is the first massacre the PKK committed in year 1985. It was in Tekcikar Village. Three civilian members of the Akman family lost their lives.
February 22, 1987- PKK militants launched an armed attack in the Tasdelen village of Uludere district/ Sirnak. 14 people were killed and 6 were wounded in the attack.
July 8, 1987- 16 civilians were killed and 6 were injured in the PKK raid at the Pecenek village of Sirnak.
September 21, 1987- PKK massacred 11 people including 5 women, two of whom were pregnant, and 4 children in the Guneyce Village of Sirnak.
October 10, 1987- 13 people died in the PKK armed attack in the Meseici village of Sirnak.
May 7, 1988- PKK militants launched an armed attack in the Dereler village of Sirnak. 16 people were killed in the attack.
June 11, 1990- Cevrimli massacre: 27 people including 12 children and 7 women were dead and 6 were injured in the armed attack launched by PKK militants in the Cevrimli village of the Guclukonak district/ Sirnak. 4 village guards lost their lives in the armed conflict with PKK members.
May 15, 1992- PKK raided the police station at Tasdelen village/ Sirnak with a group of 600 militants: 27 privates and 40 PKK members died.
May 14, 2006- PKK members and security forces engaged in a conflict in Sirnak. 4 soldiers lost their lives in the conflict.
July 11, 2006- 2 police officers were killed in the Idil district of Sirnak.
May 24, 2007- A bomb planted in the Bestler Dereler region of Sirnak by the PKK exploded and 4 specialist sergeants and 2 privates lost their lives while 10 security officers were injured.
September 29, 2007- A minibus was raked through by PKK members in the Besagac village of Beytussebap/ Sirnak. 12 people including 7 village guards were killed and 2 people were injured in the incident.
October 8, 2007- A non-commissioned officer and a specialist sergeant lost their lives after stepping on the mines placed by PKK members in Sirnak and Lice/Diyarbakir.
April 6, 2008- PKK militants detonated the remote-controlled C-4 bomb they laid in the Andac village of Uludere/Sirnak while the village guards were passing by. A village guard was killed and 4 were wounded in the explosion.
December 24, 2008- Crossfire was opened with long-barreled guns by PKK members on a military vehicle belonging to the Cizre Tank Battalion in Sirnak in the vicinity of Ipekyolu Mosque. 3 soldiers lost their lives and 12 were wounded in the attack.
May 10, 2009- A mine laid by PKK members in the vicinity of Kemerli village/ Sirnak exploded. 5 people lost their lives and 2 were wounded in the incident.
April 21, 2012- 29-year-old specialist sergeant Kemal Aktay, who was employed in the search team in the Dugun Mountain area in Uludere/ Sirnak, lost his life as he stepped on a mine laid by PKK militants.
June 30, 2012- One of the village guards keeping watch in the Pinarbasi area of Beytussebap/ Sirnak died in the mine explosion which was laid by the PKK.
September 2, 2012- Fire was opened at the security check points in Beytussebap central/ Sirnak with long-barreled guns and rocket launchers. 10 soldiers lost their lives and 7 were wounded.
September 21, 2015- An armed attack was launched on a village guard and mukhtar who were out shopping for the religious feast with their families in the Silopi district of Sirnak. A village guard lost his life in the incident.
September 24-25, 2015- PKK members launched attacks in the Beytussabap district of Sirnak with mortars, rocket launchers and long-barreled weapons on the District Gendarmerie Post, Ayvalik Battalion Command Post, Tasarasi Gendarmerie Command Post, District Governorate and the police station located in the district center. Two soldiers lost their lives and a temporary village guard, eight soldiers and eleven police officers were injured in the attacks. Three people lost their lives and three were injured as a mortar hit a house during the armed conflict. Ambulance driver Seyhmus Dursun also lost his life in the incidents in the district.
July 30, 2015- An attack was launched on soldiers securing the road in the Gormec Gendarmerie Battalion Region located on the Gabar Mountain foothill in Sirnak central. 3 soldiers lost their lives.
March 7, 2018 - An attack with long-barreled guns was launched on workers cutting trees in Sirnak. A worker was killed.
April 16, 2018 - Three soldiers died and one was wounded in the attack launched with long-barreled guns on Uludere Kuyu Tepe Military Base.
April 24, 2018 - An NCO on operation in Sirnak died after stepping on an IED trap.
May 11, 2018 - A soldier died and another was wounded during an operation in Sirnak after stepping on an IED trap.
June 8, 2018 - A police died and a soldier was wounded in an attack launched with a long-barreled gun in Sirnak.
September 26, 2018 - Two village guards died in an IED attack on security forces, who were responsible for securing the coalmine site. (Şırnak)
November 11, 2018 - Two soldiers died and another was wounded in the explosion of an IED trap previously laid in Sirnak.
Diyarbakir
1987
May 21, 1987- PKK killed teacher Asim Ozen and Imam Mehmet Bayram of Yolcati Village/ Lice District/ Diyarbakir.
June 25, 1992- Susa massacre: PKK members took the people praying inside the mosque at Yolac (Susa) village in Silvan out and shot 10 of them dead.
November 10, 1992- PKK militants raided the Hani district of Diyarbakir. A local reporter, 3 security officers and 9 civilians died in the attack.
December 29, 1993- 23 students of the Dicle University Medicine Faculty were injured following the detonation of 2 bombs placed in the student cafeteria by PKK members.
March 10, 1994- A minibus hit a mine in the Cinar district of Diyarbakir. 9 civilians lost their lives.
January 1, 1995- 18 people were killed and 9 were injured in the armed attack launched by PKK members at the Hamzali village of Kulp district/ Diyarbakir.
September 13, 2006- 10 people including 7 children were killed in the explosion at Kosuyolu Park located in the Baglar district of Diyarbakir. It was announced that the explosion happened during the transfer of the device placed in a flask.
April 29, 2009- 9 Turkish soldiers lost their lives in the explosion of a mine laid by PKK militants on the Diyarbakir- Bingol highway.
July 9, 2011- A group of PKK members intercepted the Diyarbakir- Lice highway at about 21.45 hrs. and ran an ID check. They abducted a non-commissioned master sergeant and a specialist sergeant employed at the Lice 2nd Mechanized Brigade Headquarters and a health officer employed at the Genc District of Bingol. These people were all travelling in their own private cars as they were intercepted for ID check and abduction.
July 14, 2011- Silvan Raid: Soldiers were attacked with hand grenades in the Silvan district of Diyarbakir. 13 soldiers lost their lives and 7 were injured in the ambush.
September 22, 2011- Two police officers lost their lives in the attack launched on the Motorized Peace and Order Police Units in Diyarbakir.
August 7, 2012- A group of PKK members intercepted the Diyarbakir- Bingol highway. They stopped a coach and abducted three soldiers who were reported to be taking leave.
August 12, 2015- PKK attacked the soldiers during their change of shift in the Ozekli Village Gendarmerie Station of Sur/ Diyarbakir. A soldier died.
September 13, 2015- A group of PKK members attacked police teams who were closing the ditches dug in the streets of Silvan in Diyarbakir with rocket launchers and automatic weapons. A police officer died and 2 were wounded.
September 23, 2015- Specialist sergeant Mehmet Ali Sarak (25) was attacked in Silvan / Diyarbakir by PKK members as he was leaving his house with civilian dress to join his troop in the morning. He lost his life in the armed attack.
July 23, 2015- Traffic officers were ambushed in the Sehitlik district of Yenisehir/ Diyarbakir. A police officer died and another was injured.
July 25, 2015- As a military vehicle was on its way to respond to a notice indicating that a road was intercepted in Lice/ Diyarbakir, a bomb-laden vehicle was detonated. 2 soldiers died.
July 29, 2015- PKK members opened fire with long-barreled guns from a car on Mehmet Uyar, a civilian police who was sitting in front of a tea house in Cinar/ Diyarbakir. The police officer and a civilian lost their lives and another civilian was wounded.
October 3, 2015- 31year-old Specialist Sergeant Sinan Ucan, who was attacked by PKK militants in the Silvan District of Diyarbakir, lost his life.
January 13, 2016- An attack was launched by the PKK in Cinar/ Diyarbakir on the District Police Department with a bomb-laden vehicle, rocket launchers and long-barreled weapons. 5 people lost their lives and 39 were injured.
March 31, 2016- An attack was launched on a police shuttle bus in the bus terminal area of Diyarbakir. 7 police officers died and 27 people including 13 police officers and 14 civilians were injured.
May 2, 2016- A bomb-laden truck was detonated in the Durumlu hamlet of Sur/ Diyarbakir. 16 people lost their lives and 23 were wounded.
August 15, 2016- A bomb-laden vehicle exploded in front of the Diyarbakir Regional Traffic Division. 6 people including 5 police officers lost their lives.
November 4, 2016- A bomb attack was launched with a bomb-laden vehicle near the annex building of the Diyarbakir Provincial Security Directorate. 12 people lost their lives including 2 police officers, a technician and 8 civilians.
January 16, 2017- A bomb was planted by PKK terrorists below the cemetery wall located near the excavation site of the Diyarbakir Dicle University Faculty of Veterinary Science. The bomb was detonated at noon as a police vehicle was passing by. 4 police officers died in the explosion and 2 were wounded.
April 11, 2017- A bomb attack was launched in the security campus where the Riot Police Branch Office of the Diyarbakir Provincial Security Directorate is also located. 3 people including a police officer and 2 civilians lost their lives and more than 10 people were wounded in the attack.
March 13, 2018 - An IED exploded in a cave identified in Diyarbakir. Two soldiers were killed and seven were wounded.
March 19, 2018 - An attack was launched on a vehicle carrying Yaseddin OPCIN, a voluntary village guard, and Sergen CAKMAK, a soldier employed at Topcular Gendarmerie Outpost. A soldier and a village guard was killed in the attack. (Diyarbakır)
March 29, 2018 - Six soldiers were slightly wounded in the attack against an armored vehicle searching mine/IEDs in Hazro/ Diyarbakir.
April 3, 2018 - Ambush was laid and an armed attack was launched against a group, which was in the forest to cut trees in Diyarbakir. One individual was killed and six people were wounded in the attack.
September 12, 2019 - An IED exploded while a vehicle transferring village guards and loggers was passing by. 7 people died and 13 others were wounded in the attack. (Diyarbakır)
Elazig
1990
March 22, 1990- 9 engineers kidnapped by PKK members in Elazig were killed.
April 16, 1990- 5 people including 4 teachers were killed by PKK militants in Elazig.
May 24, 1993- May 1993 PKK ambush: PKK members abducted 36 unarmed Turkish soldiers on shot them during dispatch on Elazig- Bingol highway. 33 were killed and 3 were severely injured.
September 22- 1996- PKK militants launched an armed attack on the Etibank East Chromium Operations Management in the vicinity of Alacakay district of Elazig. 5 people including 4 private security guards lost their lives.
July 1, 1999- PKK militants launched an armed attack on the Poyraz coffee house in Elazig. 4 people were killed and 5 were injured in the incident. 2 perpetrators were captured dead while a police officer injured in the attack lost his life six days later.
Samsun
2010
April 17, 2010- PKK militants opened fire for five minutes with long-barreled guns on police officers on patrol duty in Samsun Street in Ladik. Two police officers lost their lives.
Istanbul
October 22, 1988- Esat Oktay Yildiran, former Warden of the Diyarbakir Prison, was killed on a public bus in Kisikli/ Istanbul. Before pulling the trigger, the PKK militant told Yildiran that Kemal the Laz (Kemal Pir), one of the torture victims in the prison who died in the death fast, extended his greetings.
December 25, 1991- Cetinkaya Store Massacre: About 40-50 PKK supporters, who were unlawfully conducting a protest march in Istanbul Street in Bakirkoy/ Istanbul, threw Molotov cocktails at Egebank, Kit, Arcelik, Emlak bank and Cetinkaya Stores and started a fire at the Cetinkaya Store, owned by the brother of Necati Cetinkaya, the former Emergency Rule Governor. 11 people including 7 women and a child died in the fire.
February 20, 1992- A time bomb inside a bag was abandoned in the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce building. One person died and 16 were wounded in the explosion.
December 30, 1994- Writer Onat Kutlar and archeologist Yasemin Cebenoyan lost their lives in the bomb explosion in the pastry shop of The Marmara Hotel. While the responsibility of the attack was initially claimed by the IBDA-C organization, as the investigation progressed it was revealed that the attack was actually carried out by the PKK..
May 4, 1995- PKK members threw a Molotov cocktail at the Nazli Clothing Store in Kucukcekmece/ Istanbul. 3 people lost their lives and 1 person was injured in the fire caused by the Molotov cocktail.
July 9, 1998- A bomb planted in the Unluoglu kiosk located in the Egyptian Bazaar in Eminonu exploded. 7 people including 3 children were killed and 111 people including 10 foreigners were injured in the incident.
March 13, 1999- Mavi Carsi Massacre: A Molotov cocktail was thrown in the shopping mall known as Mavi Carsi located in Fahrettin Kerim Gokay Street in Kadikoy. 13 people died due to the fire that broke out and smoke poisoning. 6 people were injured.
July 27, 2008- Gungoren Attack: Bombs exploded in two attacks in ten minutes in Gungoren/ Istanbul. 18 people including five children and an unborn baby were killed and 150 people were injured in the attack. It was later revealed that the perpetrator of the attack was the PKK.
October 31, 2010- 32 people were wounded in the bomb attack in Beyoglu/ Istanbul. The suicide bomber died in the explosion.
June 7, 2016- An attack was carried out with a bomb-laden vehicle in the Vezneciler neighborhood of Fatih/ Istanbul. 13 people including 5 police officers, 7 civilians and a perpetrator died and 36 people were wounded in the explosion.
December 10, 2016- A bomb attack was conducted near the Besiktas Vodafone Park Stadium. 46 people including 39 security officers died in the terrorist attack.
Van
1990
April 9, 1990- PKK militants killed 5 people in the raid in the Ovecek village of Van.
July 18, 1993- An armed attack was launched at the Sunduzlu highland of Bahcesaray/ Van. 24 people were killed in the incident while 1 person was injured.
July 24, 1995- An armed attack was launched by PKK members in the Gurpinar district of Van. 14 people including 2 security officers were killed and one security officer was injured.
December 24, 1998- A suicide attack was launched in Van by PKK member Hamdiye Kapan on a military shuttle vehicle carrying high school students, who were the children of the military staff. Kapan detonated the bomb she was wearing. The perpetrator as well as a student died in the attack and 21 people including soldiers, teachers, students and other civilians survived the attack with injuries.
March 9, 2006- PKK member Devrim Solduk launched a suicide attack by detonating the bombs he was wearing as he approached a traffic vehicle belonging to the Van Municipality in Van central. Two people and the perpetrator himself were killed in the explosion while 19 people survived the incident with injuries.
August 1, 2011- Fire was opened on a military convoy in the Gedikbasi region of Baskale/ Van. Three soldiers lost their lives and four soldiers were injured in the attack.
September 21-22, 2015- Two different attacks were launched with two different IEDs by PKK members on the Baskale/ Van- Hakkari highway. A total of twenty four soldiers were injured in the attacks.
March 13, 2018 - Two PKK members wearing face masks killed Metin ERTAS, temporary village guard. (VAN)
March 16, 2018 - A village guard died in the armed attack launched by PKK members in Edremit/Van.
Bitlis
1992
June 11, 1992- PKK militants shot 13 people dead in a minibus they stopped in the Tatvan district of Bitlis.
October 1, 1992- PKK raided the Cevizdali village of Bitlis. 30 people including children and women were killed in the attack and 25 were wounded. Having set the village on fire, the perpetrators left the crime scene with the 13 village guards they abducted.
August 4, 1993- A group of PKK members intercepted the road between Yenidogan and Kavakbasi villages in the Mutki district of Bitlis. They shot a total of 15 people dead in the two passenger minibuses they stopped on the road. 13 people were injured in the attack.
September 22, 1996- PKK blocked a road in Tatvan and killed two people.
July 13, 2006- A military vehicle hit a mine laid by PKK members in Bitlis. 5 Turkish soldiers lost their lives and 4 were injured in the explosion.
September 27, 2007- Two soldiers lost their lives after stepping on the mines placed by PKK militants in the vicinity of the Bolukyazi village of Bitlis.
October 18, 2011- PKK militants launched a bomb attack on a passing police vehicle near the Guroymak district of Bitlis. Five police officers and four passersby were killed and two were injured in the attack.
March 19, 2018 - Armed attack was mounted against people collecting wood in Bitlis as a result of which a civilian was killed and four others were wounded.
July 19, 2019 - An attack with a rocket-launcher was mounted on a vehicle transferring Gendarmerie staff in Bitlis. A soldier was killed and another was wounded in the attack.
Kahramanmaras
1991
July 14, 1991- PKK militants killed 9 people including women and children with automatic guns and bombs in the raids in the villages of Caglayancerit and Pazarcik of Kahramanmaras. Having burned the bodies after the attack, they fled.
April 23, 1996- 3 primary schools teachers were shot dead by PKK members in the Ekinozu district of Kahramanmaras.
Sivas
1996
August 13, 1996- 9 PKK militants including 2 women raided the Demiriz Train Station in Akcasehir village of Kangal/Sivas. 8 people, including 6 officers of the Turkish State Railways, were killed.
August 20, 1996- PKK members intercepted the road near Egricimen Highland in the Koyulhisar district of Sivas and raked 4 vehicles. 3 people in the vehicles were killed and 7 were injured.
October 29, 1996- A suicide attack was launched in Sivas by Guler Otas, an organization member, while she was being transferred in a police vehicle. She detonated the bomb she was wearing. 6 people including the perpetrator, another organization member inside the vehicle, 3 police officers and a passerby were killed in the explosion.
July 31, 2008- PKK raided the police station in Koyulhisar/ Sivas and killed a specialist sergeant and wounded 3 people including a civilian.
Erzincan
1993
July 5, 1993- Basbaglar Massacre: 33 people were killed in the armed attack in the Basbaglar village of Erzincan and 57 houses in the village were set on fire. 3 civilians survived the attack with injuries.
July 11, 2005- PKK members intercepted the Tunceli-Erzincan highway. Having seized the money and jewelry of the passengers, PKK members fled the scene with the private they abducted.
August 11, 2008- 9 soldiers lost their lives and 2 were wounded as the mine laid by PKK members in the Oklukpinar village of Kemah/ Erzincan exploded.
Tokat
2009
December 7, 2009- Fire was opened by militants on a military vehicle on street patrol duty in Resadiye/ Tokat. 7 security officers including a specialist gendarmerie sergeant, a gendarmerie corporal and 5 gendarmerie privates in the vehicle were killed and a specialist gendarmerie sergeant and 2 gendarmerie privates were wounded.
Bingol
1992
September 5, 1992- A group of PKK members barricaded the Bingol- Genc highway and shot seven people they took out of random cars.
October 20, 1992- A bus was intercepted by PKK members near the Hazarshah village of Solhan/ Bingol. 19 passengers were shot dead while 6 were wounded.
May 24, 1993- May 1993 PKK ambush: PKK members abducted 36 unarmed Turkish soldiers on shot them during dispatch on Elazig- Bingol highway. 33 were killed and 3 were severely injured.
June 4, 1993- PKK members raided villages in Hakkari and Bingol. 7 people were killed and 3 women were abducted.
June 15, 1993- PKK raided the Ucpinar village of Ilicalar town in Bingol and the Gozluce village of Sirvan/ Siirt with rocket launchers. 9 people were dead and 4 were abducted in the armed attack. A health officer was shot dead the same day on Siirt- Eruh highway.
August 10, 1993- PKK militants ambushed a passenger minibus in the vicinity of the Genc district of Bingol. 8 passengers were killed and 10 were injured.
July 2, 2005- The mine laid by PKK members in the railroad in Bingol exploded. 5 security officers lost their lives in the explosion.
July 27, 2006- A mine planted in the Genc district of Bingol by PKK militants exploded. An officer lost his life and another officer and a private were injured in the incident.
October 16, 2007- A soldier lost his life in the explosion of a mine laid by PKK members in Bingol.
April 29, 2009- 9 Turkish soldiers lost their lives in the explosion of a mine laid by PKK militants on the Diyarbakir- Bingol highway.
July 9, 2011- A group of PKK members intercepted the Diyarbakir- Lice highway at about 21.45 hrs. and ran an ID check. They abducted a non-commissioned master sergeant and a specialist sergeant employed at the Lice 2nd Mechanized Brigade Headquarters and a health officer employed at the Genc District of Bingol. These people were all travelling in their own private cars as they were intercepted for ID check and abduction.
October 29, 2011- Nazli Gorer (DPOB: 1980- Hinis/Erzurum) AKA Ronahi, operating in the HPG ranks, approached a children’s clothing and toy store in Bingol. Hatice Belgin was out shopping with her three children for the religious festival. She tried to prevent the suicide bomber to protect her children. Three people, including Hatice Belgin and Nazli Gorer lost their lives and 21 were injured in the incident.
August 7, 2012- A group of PKK members intercepted the Diyarbakir- Bingol highway. They stopped a coach and abducted three soldiers who were reported to be taking leave.
September 16, 2012- A mine laid on the road exploded as a shuttle vehicle carrying the Riot Squat team in the Karliova district of Bingol was passing by. In the attack which occurred at 10:15 hrs 8 police officers died and 9 were wounded.
September 18, 2012- An attack with rocket launchers was carried out by PKK terrorists in Bingol at around noon against a military convoy as it was passing by. 10 soldiers died and 50 were wounded.
June 30, 2016- 2 specialist sergeants of the Turkish Armed forces died in Bingol in the explosion of an enhanced explosive device laid on the road.
June 8, 2018 - A soldier died and four soldiers were wounded in the attack launched with long-barreled weapons in Bingol.
Tunceli
1992
October 22, 1992- PKK launched an armed attack in the Dedebag village of Malazgirt. 12 people were killed and 4 were wounded in the attack.
March 19, 1995- PKK militants attacked a 50-car motorcade travelling from Tunceli to Ovacik district with rocket launchers. 18 soldiers were killed and 10 soldiers were wounded in the incident.
June 30, 1996- Zeynep Kinaci (AKA Zilan) blew herself up amid soldiers during a flag raising ceremony. This was the first known suicide attack launched by the PKK. Eight soldiers lost their lives in the incident.
June 4, 2005- Tunceli 4th Commando Brigade soldiers, who were launching an operation against the PKK in the mountainous terrain near the Cicekli village of Tunceli, were ambushed by PKK members. 4 Turkish soldiers lost their lives in the conflict.
July 11, 2005- PKK members intercepted the Tunceli-Erzincan highway. Having seized the money and jewelry of the passengers, PKK members fled the scene with the private they abducted.
June 4, 2007- PKK members arrived at the Kocatepe Gendarmerie Post in Pulumur with an SUV and attacked the post with hand grenades and guns, resulting in the death of 7 soldiers and wounding 7.
September 4, 2011- PKK members attacked soldiers during the changing of guards in Tunceli. Two soldiers lost their lives in the attack.
May 4, 2012- The military unit deployed in the Zel mountain foothill of the Alacik village in Tunceli was attacked by PKK militants with long-barreled guns in thick fog and rainy weather conditions. A non-commissioned officer and two soldiers died in the attack.
September 25, 2012- Terrorists in Tunceli detonated a bomb-laden vehicle with a remote control mechanism as an unarmored minibus carrying soldiers and a jeep providing its security was passing by. In the attack, which was allegedly conducted with a stolen vehicle, 6 soldiers and a women passing by died.
September 21, 2015- PKK militants opened fire with automatic weapons on the vehicle carrying the District Security Director in the Hozat district of Tunceli. District Security Director and a police officer were severely injured in the incident.
September 9, 2015- Security check point of the Tunceli Police public housing campus was attacked with rocket launchers and long-barreled guns.
June 16, 2017- PKK abducted and killed Necmettin Yilmaz, a teacher in Tunceli.
April 21, 2018 - A worker died in the attack launched against two workers employed for road construction in Tunceli.
Batman
1992
September 15, 1992- 10 people including 4 village guards travelling in a minibus were killed and 6 were wounded in the bomb and armed attack of PKK militants in the vicinity of Kozluk/ Batman.
September 30, 1993- PKK members raided a hamlet in the in the Kozluk district of Batman and killed 7 members of a village guard family and injured 3.
October 5, 1993- PKK militants launched armed attacks in the various villages and hamlets of Hakkari, Siirt and Batman and set 22 houses on fire. 35 people including women and children were killed while 10 were injured and 22 houses were burnt down.
May 25, 1995- The bomb, which a PKK member was attempting to place in a minibus stop in Batman, detonated in his hand. 7 people as well as the PKK militant died in the incident and 20 people were injured.
May 10, 2008- A mine laid by PKK militants in the street in the Aydinlik village of Sason/ Batman exploded. 3 people were killed and 5 were wounded in the explosion.
September 26, 2011- PKK launched an attack in Batman. Three people were killed and five people including three police officers were injured in the attack.
June 9, 2017- 22 year old music teacher Aybuke Yalcin lost her life in the attack carried out in the Kozluk district of Batman.
March 23, 2018 - One soldier died in the attack launched against a military group on operation in Batman.
Gumushane
2008
June 21, 2008- 3 soldiers were injured in the attack launched on a military vehicle by PKK militants in Gumushane.
Mus
2015
July 27, 2015- Malazgirt/ Mus District Gendarmerie Commander Major Aslan Kulaksız was attacked in his car with his family. The major lost his life while his wife and daughter were injured.
Adana
1996
October 25, 1996- A female PKK member launched a suicide attack in front of the Riot Police Section of the Adana Police Headquarters. 4 people including three police officers were killed and 12 people including 8 police officers were injured in the incident.
September 28, 2015- 2 police officers lost their lives in an armed attack on a patrolling police vehicle in Adana.
July 31, 2015- Two police officers lost their lives in the attack on the District Police Department in Pozanti/ Adana.
Ankara
2011
September 20, 2011- A bomb exploded in a minibus in front of the Cankaya District Governorate in Ankara. Three civilians lost their lives and 34 were wounded including three with severe injuries.
February 17, 2016- An explosion occurred in the Cankaya district of Ankara in the area where the Turkish General Staff, public housing campus of officers and the Turkish Land Forces Headquarters are located. The explosion occurred just as the military shuttle buses were passing by. 29 people died and 61 were wounded in the attack.
March 13, 2016- A bomb-laden vehicle exploded near the bus stops in Ankara. A total of 38 people including the two perpetrators lost their lives and 125 were wounded including 19 with severe injuries.
Izmir
2012
August 9, 2012- A service bus travelling to the military base in Foca/ Izmir was attacked. Following the successive two bomb attacks, fire was opened on the bus. A soldier lost his life and 11 were wounded in the incident. It was later identified that a C-4-type explosive reinforced with bolts was used in the attack.
January 5, 2017- Terrorists attempted to enter the Izmir Courthouse with a vehicle and detonated the bomb-laden vehicle during the armed conflict with the police. A police and a courthouse employee died in the attack.
Sanliurfa
2015
July 22, 2015- 2 police officers were found dead in their houses in Ceylanpinar/ Sanliurfa. They were shot in their heads.
Gaziantep
2012
August 20, 2012- Gaziantep Attack: A bomb-laden car exploded in Gaziantep. In the attack which targeted the District Police Department and a nearby police station, a total of nine people including four children lost their lives and 66 were injured including four with severe injuries.
Hatay
1995
August 5, 1995- PKK militants launched attacks with rocket launchers in the Akbez town of Hassa/ Hatay. 8 people including 3 children were killed and 4 were injured in the armed attack.
March 7, 2008- A mine near the Cagali village of Hatay was raided by the PKK. One person was killed and one was abducted in the incident.
January 21, 2018 - Two civilians including a Syrian and a Turkish national were killed and 38 civilians were wounded in the rocket attacks by the YPG from Afrin towards Reyhanli/Hatay.
January 22, 2018 - Mortar attacks were launched by the YPG from Afrin towards Kirikhan/ Hatay in which a civilian died and five civilians were wounded.
January 23, 2018 - Two soldiers were wounded in the YPG mortar attack from Afrin. (Hatay)
January 24, 2018 - Two civilians were killed and seven were wounded in the rocket attacks of the YPG from Afrin towards Kilis.
January 30, 2018 - Two rockets were launched by the YPG from Afrin to Reyhanli/ Hatay and eight people were injured.
January 31, 2018 - Two rockets/missiles were launched by the YPG from Afrin to Reyhanli/Hatay causing the death of a civilian and wounding one.
Adiyaman
2015
July 20, 2015- PKK members opened fire on security forces during land search in Adiyaman central. A soldier died.
Igdir
1992
November 15, 1992- 8 people were killed and 13 wounded in the raids in the Balpinar village of Mazidagi/ Mardin and the Ortaalican village of Igdir.
September 8, 2015- A bomb of about a ton laid on the road by the PKK was detonated remotely as a shuttle bus carrying the police officers deployed at Dilucu Border Gate was passing by. 14 police officers were killed.
May 10, 2019 - PKK members opened fire on patrolling soldiers in Igdir from Iranian territory. A soldier died and another was wounded in the attack.
Erzurum
1993
October 25, 1993- Yavi massacre: Yavi town of Cat/ Erzurum was raided. It was learnt that PKK members gathered the villagers in a coffeehouse, propagated in favor of the PKK and raked them through with automatic guns. 35 people were killed and about 50 were wounded in the attack.
October 30, 1993- A group of PKK members raided the Cicekli village of Pasinler/ Erzurum. 6 people were killed and 13 were wounded including 5 with severe injuries.

April 30, 2005- Kusadasi Attacks of 2005: Yasar Aykac, Chief Inspector who was attempting to exterminate an unattended package, which was abandoned in front of the Ataturk Statue located in the Kusadasi district of Aydin, lost his life when the bomb exploded. 4 police officers on the site were injured.
July 16, 2005- Kusadasi Attacks: A bomb exploded on a moving minibus in Kusadasi at 10:30 am. 5 people, including Irish and British tourists, lost their lives in the incident. 13 people were injured.
Amasya
2012
April 10, 2012- A bomb detonated as a military vehicle was passing by in the Cigdemlik village of Amasya. Two soldiers died and five were wounded in the explosion.
Ağrı
2018
March 12, 2018 - An armed attack was launched on the Gendarmerie on operation in the rural areas of Mount Ararat. A soldier died in the attack. (AĞRI)
May 20, 2018 - A soldier died and another was wounded in the IED attack against a vehicle transferring security personnel in Agri.
